Charles William Petty - Virtual Properties Worldwide Charles Petty and Virtual Properties Worldwide tout private investments backed by mortgages on real property that they DON'T OWN!, Internet

I entered into a short-term (90 day) private note with Mr. Petty and Virtual Properties Worldwide last November 2010. The loan was supposed to be secured by real property. The balance plus interest was due back in 90 days. Shortly after entering into the agreement I inquired as to when I would get a copy of the recorded deed.  At this time his Client Services Coordinator, Tony Brown, was still responding to me. His last correspondence to me came in early December when he promised I should get the deed within 1 week. 

After that my emails stopped being returned and the phone number would always go to voice mail. I've tried multiple ways to contact Tony Brown, Charles Petty and Virtual Properties Worldwide but I cannot reach anybody and their websites are also no longer up.

I was contacted in February 2011 by the SEC saying that they are pursuing a case against Charles Petty and his companies and that in March they had filed a motion for entry of default judgement but have not heard anything since even when I have inquired.  

If anybody has had any success in locating Charles in order to file suit against him, I'd love to know more!
