Chase Credit Card, Fleet Credit Card ripoff, finance charges, late fees, Hicksville New York

Story:

I had a credit card with Fleet with account number ************** which I paid off in full which was around $700 online. The problem with online is that it took 2 days to show on my account. Within those 2 days DAILY interest occurred. Thinking that my account was paid off, I come to find out 30 days later it was closed but with just interest fees and late payment fees. Well, I called Fleet and they took off the late fees and the interest fees.

But the post to my account over the phone took a day but when this day happened it just happened to be that another late fee occurred. So then again thinking that my account was closed, I come to find out 60 days later that I have late fees and owe Fleet more money. I called Fleet AGAIN and they said they would have to have me fill out a form over the phone and they would review my account and see if they could take off the late fees and interest occurring for those late fees. This took 30 days which then in turn made my account late again. So then I owed another $35 late fee on top of the 2 I already had.

Then they finally sent me a letter saying that I was credited the late fees and that it was their fault. I asked them if this would hurt my credit and they said NO. But again to find out Chase goes through the credit bureau and they think I am high risk so they bump my interest rate to the highest level possible even though my credit card was paid off. So I would like to have my 1.99% annual interest back for my transfer balance and my 15.24% interest for other transactions restored.

I sent the letter to Chase and they lowered it to 20% for all. Chase is a rip off.
