With fake due date on my credit card, with false information about 24-7 banking system, the bank managed to make $60 penalty on innocent like me!

I received a statement and the bank has set a due date on Sunday,Jan 3rd 2010, with hidden fact that it is due Dec 31 2009. Because the bank will not be able to receive my payment in any form on Saturday, Sunday and holidays.

With advertised 24-7 banking, then, I made payment on TIME on Jan 2nd with the same banks' online banking system, and then bank just won't transfer money until after it is due.

The bank always tell me to make payment 24-7 with online banking system, never tells me to note that they don't do anything on Saturday and Sunday UNTIL AFTER a penalty fee is imposed.

This piece of information regarding the banking system is not working 24-7 should be free. But it cost me $60 together. ($39 late fee + 21 finance charge)

They know that I made the payment before the payment was due. They know that they didn't let me know about the online banking doesn't work weekend.  They know that is the first time my payment not being received on time. But, there is no courtesy to waive it.

Chase LOVEs late fees and will do anything to get them. Chase tweaks due dates to make sure that your due date will fall on a Sunday....My due dates always seem to fall on a Sunday.

The only real way to fight back is to pay them off and stop using their ridiculous high interest products.
