CheapTrips Total Scam - Cheaptrips Will Not Refund My Money After Cancelling Trial Membership Cherry Hill New Jersey

I foolishly agreed to a trial membership with this organization for a fee of $49.95, plus $9.95. My bank account was immediately charged upon sign up. I only agreed to the trial membership because of the promise of free airline tickets in return for a review of the account. The telemarketer assured me that this was a 'no strings attached' trial and if dissatisfied with the membership, I could cancel within the 30 day review period and receive a full refund, keeping the tickets as a complimentary gift.

WHAT A SCAM!!!! Immediately upon receipt of the "Membership Packet" and my login information, I knew this was not for me. The website is unprofessional, the 'gifts certificates' look like Monopoly money and are not 'free gifts' at all.

I called Cheaptrips to cancel this membership and at that time was advised that I'd have to put my request in writing explaining why the cancellation was requested. This was not explained to me during the initial sign up. I argued that I would be happy to email feedback, but was told that a letter was required. Peeved, I wrote a brief note requesting 1.) cancellation of membership and 2.) refund of my money. Having not heard back this lousy business, nor seeing any type of refund, I placed another call and was now told it would take (2) billing cycles to receive my refund. After calling again today to seek my refund, I was informed by a very RUDE, UNHELPFUL, 'customer service specialist' that I wouldn't get my refund until I returned the "membership materials". Again, another contigencey being placed upon my refund of which I was not informed. This buffoon continued to argue with me and would not transfer me to a supervisor upon request. After insisting on speaking with a supervisor, I was transferred to a telephone line that just went unanswered.

I believe Cheaptrips to be a fraudelently run organization. This business is probably being run by one or two people from someone's basement.

At this point, I am contacting the Office of the Attorney General for both PA and NJ. In addition, I'm notifying Eyewitness News and Fox 29 News in Philly.

I will obtain my refund come hell or high water. Anyone interested in pursuing a class action lawsuit???? With 38 complainants we are well on our way!!!
