Child Safety Enterprises THEY LIE ABOUT YOUR PAY!!! SAYING ITS SALARY BUT REALLY COMISSION!!! (PENNIES) Deer Park New York

I went for an interview with this company and it seemed like a nice non-profit agency. I wasn't really sure what the starting pay was but I set up an interview anyway. It wasn't that close to my house, probably about a 45 minute ride to and from. My first interview was ok. I found it a little weird because I spent maybe about 20 minutes there, but 15 of those minutes I spent talking to the girl at the front desk who wouldn't shut up! The actual interview was maybe 5-6 minutes. The "owner" of this fine establishment seemed like a nice guy, but I found it weird that he didn't even look over my resume during the interview. Normally when you're on an interview the person reviews your resume and asks questions. He just described the company and how they hold events for children, non-profit events which was why I thought how could this guy be a dirt bag. He told me there are holding 3 days during the week where I can spend the day and observe to see if this is something I would likle to do, so I said sure sounds like fun. I asked him what the SALARY was and he said 40k a year. A red flag really didn't come up so I set up a tuesday to come and observe for the day.

When I got there the next week for the observation, I drove with two people to one site where we set up. You basically sit outside of different stores, which could be outside of anywhere, even malls. You set up little things for people to buy like t-shirts and CRAP like that. Basically how to beg people to make a donation for these kids. After driving there and standing all day I spoke with this girl. It was her first day of work and they never told her what she was making. We thought it was weird, and she said it's comission. I wasn't sure, so at the end of the day we had our third intervew where I met with a guy named Vito Spetifora, the owner. I asked him again what the salary was and he said 40k, but it's not an hourly pay, but he kept saying its not comission. I said how can it not be comission if you're not paying me salary or hourly? He said you get paid by the amount of musty items you sell. So that day we sold like 200 dollars worth of crap and we get 30% so we get $80 for the day and he gets the other half and the rest goes to the kids..SO THATS NOT NON-PROFIT. Because that's how I get paid, if I would have known it was comission from day one, I would not have come back to that scary place. They basically lied to me, told me it was salary, made you waste your whole day selling stupid crap..... actually begging people to buy the crap with a sob story. So if you see CHILD SAFETY ENTERPRISES...RUN FAR AWAY.
