If I could give them a negative instead of one star I would!! Got into my car yesterday morning to go to work and the battery was completely dead. There was no power to any device or dashboard in any way. I have a Marine deep cycle battery using that to jump start my car which got the vehicle running. Drove to work and the car was dead again once I shut off the engine.

Called Randy at Christian Brothers Automotive where we had been taking both my wife's car and my car since we moved to Monument 5 years ago. I dropped the car off around 9:30am or 10:00am yesterday morning for them to inspect. They never called with an update yesterday, forcing me to call around 5:30pm before they closed at 6pm.

I was informed that they needed the car overnight because they could not find what was going on. I missed work yesterday as well. Today had heard nothing until I called around 3:00pm today to speak with Randy about what was going on. They informed me that the battery had been installed incorrectly with the positive terminal not on all the way and loose.

Advanced auto parts is where I bought the battery and they had installed it on January 22, 2022 and I let Christian Brothers know that ahead of time. I had received a text message Christian Brothers at 2:30 that the car was done and ready to go. The work had already been done without my approval on the battery problem and billed.

I had asked them to make sure the air unit was working properly and was all I said OK to. My wife picked me up from work and I got to Christian Brothers with Randy telling me that Advanced auto had improperly installed the battery with the terminals loose and the positive terminal on wrong. This was also in writing on the work order from Christian Brothers.

I picked up my car after paying for the work done and let them know that I was on my way to Advanced auto parts here in Monument to go over the problem for a possible refund or have Advanced pay for the auto service. Once I got to Advanced Auto I spoke with general manager J.P. Peltier who once I told him of the situation gave me the impression that he was going to find a way to not make it his problem. By the way avoid Advanced Auto Parts on Jackson Creek Pkwy in Monument as well.

After stating to him that I only wanted them to pay for the service done on the battery J.P. Peltier told me it was outrageous that Christian Brothers charged what they did for the service on the battery. J. P. Peltier then called his District Manager then called Randy. Peltier told me that he spoke with Randy who stated that Advanced Auto had done nothing wrong.

When Peltier came back out to me he told me that his district manager and he will not make good on anything because Randy told him that it was not their fault. What??? Randy put it in writing that they found it to be installed improperly. In writing!! I have the bill that states that. Then I went back to Randy and asked him what in the world was going on.

He back peddled by telling me that the battery could get loose since it was installed. What?? Would not take off any charges saying he had a technician to pay for his time. Dishonest statements and would not soften anything in our conversation or transaction after all the money we have spent in the past on our vehicles! Company was completely on the defensive when I returned. Shame to tell your customer one thing than back peddle for whatever reason!!

I will never bring any business to Christian Brothers ever again and advise others in the Monument area to avoid this company!!! So much for loyal customers!!! One more loyal customer checking out from Christian Brothers!! I see there is another battery repair complaint out there for them!! Shocking!!
