CIC CE CREDIT MA Credit Manager fraudulent charges. Rip-off! Orange California

My wife and I pulled up our checking account online this morning and noticed an $89.95 charge. Neither of us knew where it came from, so I looked up the charge on the Internet and ripoffreport.com came up.

I called the number listed on another complaint and they started asking me for my social and credit card numbers, which I wouldn't give. I gave her my name and she looked up my account, but then asked for the last 4 of my social - which I wouldn't give. She said she needed it because of the number of people with my name, but I knew it was BS because she unintentionally offered some info that only I would know. After getting nowhere I asked to be transferred to a supervisor, which took a few minutes.

The supervisor took my last 4 social digits and my mother's maiden name. Then he said he'd cancel my account and refund the charges in 7-10 business days. Funny, because I had already cancelled my account within the 30 days required.

I called my bank to let them know of the fradulent charges and she recommended giving them the 10 business days before we file a dispute with MasterCard. She said she usually sees a refund in 30 days from these guys - so it's not uncommon.
