I ordered a free credit report and was charged for a monitoring service for $79.95 WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION. In calling the 800 number of the company, I received only a voice mail instructing me to go their "web-site" to cancel at: cancel@consumerinfo.com. NO WEB SITE EXISTS.
My suggestion is to send this fraudulent sceme to not only the Department of Consumer Affairs but also to the Attorney General of the US and the Attorney General of your respective state. Thanks for your assistance in advising me I'm only one of multitudes being ripped off.
