CIC Credit Monitoring billed my wifes' debit card from 07/2004 thru 10/2005 for services that were never performed. Not Sure California

My wife noticed that every month a $9.95 fee was being debited from her account. She would question me about that debit, I had no idea what it was about. She finally called and spoke with someone. I don't remember the name, off hand. After she spoke with the person she asked me to talk with him. I asked him what the charge was for, I got no response except; You should have cancelled before the 30 day trial period. I asked again; What services did you supply for the $9.95 a month fee? I got no reply. I asked; Did you ever contact me regarding or reminding me about the trial period? I got no response. I would really like to get my money back. I had to give my wife $160.00 check to try and keep peace between us. If there is anything you can do to help me get a refund please notify me as soon as possible.
