Claim Specialists International - CSI Fraudulent, misrepresentation, lied Denver Colorado

This company came to my house and offered a roof inspection, because of a hail storm that happened in July. When the "roof inspector" was finished he told me that my roof was in really bad condition and that he was actually "afraid" when he was on my roof because the damage was so bad! We called the insurance company and filed a claim. I looked this company up on the BBB and found out they were under investigation for operating in El Paso County without proper municipal permits and they had been kicked out of the BBB! Obviously we decided we would not do any business with this company but we would have the insurance adjuster come out and tell us if we needed a new roof. The insurance adjuster came out on Monday, he said our roof was in very, very good condition and did not need to be replaced and he would deny the claim.

Tuesday CSI called, before I could even tell them the outcome of the adjuster's visit, the lady told me that the claim had been approved and that the insurance company had already issued payment! I then told her that the claim had actually been denied, she tried to tell me she spoke with the adjuster personally and he stated that the claim had been approved. Anyhow she told me that our contract would be cancelled, if in fact the claim had been denied.

Wednesday, the same lady from CSI called again, she again stated that she had spoken to our adjuster and he had appoved the claim and we should be receiving our money in a few days. I explained to her again that the claim had been denied and she argued with me again. I told her that even if the claim had been approved we would not do business with CSI. She then proceeded to tell me that I had a contract with CSI and I would be held liable for 20% of the total claim, if I chose not to do business with them. I told her I needed to talk to my adjuster before the conversation went any further. I called my adjuster and left a message. CSI called me back 5 mins later and stated that they had spoken to my insurance company again and found out that the claim had been denied and the contract would be null and void. (Amazing she found this out within 5 mins!) I called my insurance adjuster again to let him know the situation had been resolved and this time he answered the phone. I told him what CSI had said and he started laughing....he said he never spoke to anyone at CSI regarding our claim and he never speaks to anyone at CSI unless asked by the Customer. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING! And talk to your insurance company before you believe anything they say and if they get nasty, call their bluff...it seems to work. There are 119 homes in Denver that contracted with this company...6 months ago, and they still do not have new roofs...because of a supposed shingle shortage...? Don't be a victim!
