CLASSIC GATE By DESIGN, Mitch Allen, Chris And Phillip Stole my $1055.00 deposit for a driveway gate in May 2006 and never made my gate for me nor will they refund my money!! Ripoff N. Charleston South Carolina

In may of 2006 I sent 1/2 of the amount for my gate as requested for a deposit to fabricate my gate. a check for $1055.00 was sent, received and cashed by either Salesman Mitch Allen or a representative of Classic Gate by Design Inc.

I was informed that the gate would take 5 to 7 weeks to fabricate and I would need to send the remaing balance upon completion. 5 months have passed and I still have no gate!! I have made numerous calls to find out when I can expect my gate and NEVER get a date. After 5 months I have requested a refund but was told that was not possible. I was also informed that my gate was not even fabricated either.

I found Classic Gate by Design on the internet when I was searching for gates and design and a fast turn around on time. Classic Gate by Design Inc. has a very professional website but don't be fooled as I was!! Classic Gate by Design is a huge RIP-OFF company!!

I live on one of the busiest streets in my town, most of the traffic is a result of my street being used as a "cut through" to avoid the congested main route. If anyone out there lives on one of these streets you can appreciate how much traffic is generated, how fast the cars move despite the posted speed limit. I have 2 children that play in the driveway and wanted to prevent them from going out into the road and well...you know what happens then. I worry every day the kids are on the driveway, although someone is always present with them things happen. I had expressed this to Mitch Allen of Classic Gate by Design and he assured me that I would have my gate on time as long as I sent hime a cashiers check or money order for the deposit, no credit cards on special order gates. I complied and to this date, November 3, 2006, Mitch Allen, Chris or Phillip and or anyone of Classic Gate by Design Inc. refuses to give my my gate or a refund.

I think either the gate or the money refunded is reasonbable but Classic Gate by Design Inc feels I am unreasonable and has desided to rip me off!! I was informed that I would need to send a certified check or money order, no credit cards, for the remaining 1/2 of the balance due on the gate upon completion.

Had I known that Classic Gate by Design Inc. wanted to steal money from a working class person I never would have initiated the purchase. For the record, Classic Gate by Design Inc., did not give me the cheapest price on a gate, Mitch Allen and friends were just very smooth liars willing to promise the best quality and results for just a little more money.

I encourage anyone and everyone to look go to www.classicgate.com to see what a RIP - OFF company can do with a website and how thieves can post themselves on the web as though they were a real company. DON"T be fooled. I have been working with the Consumer's Affairs Department in South Carolina in an effort to get my situation resolved, they have been great to work with but have informed me that not much more can be done once Classic Gate by Design Inc. has been contacted.
