My husband and I have placed an order for windows through Clear Choice Windows, Located in Menomonee Falls, WI 262-373-1440; had lots and lots of problems when they were installing the windows. These windows were installed incorrectly.

Their men would not correctly finish the job and left a huge mess. They would steal our tools when left on the kitchen table (have proof) pictures and phone messages. 

They sub contracted out to a company called Exterior Home Innovations LLC.  Andy Honeck is the President.  Located in; West Allis, Wisconsin. 414-258-7777, 414-234-9771 He and his crew are thieves. 

We had dealt with Bob Gibson from Clear Choice and will not resolve the bad job they did.  We have also spoken to Chris Shots who also didn't do anything.

There we complications with their company Clear Choice and their sub-contractor Andy Honeck  when we were stated one amount of $15.00 per window frame.  Bob Gibson quoted us $65.00 per window. 

Bob Gibson Terminated Andy Honeck and his company- Home Innovations LLC; not for doing a bad job or stealing but for under bidding Clear Choice.

A last payment was issued, to Andy Honeck on July 8, 09 and he signed off on the paper work before we knew he was terminated. 

We had filled several complaints to Bob Gibson and the company but they refused to handle the job correctly.  One person after months came by and took care of most of the damage that was done to our windows. 

We have after tried several, several times to call Bob Gibson about the check and why it wasn't posted yet.  Again the irresponsible sets in.  Finally in October 0f 09, he finally contacted us.  We have sent more emails to him and again finally he emailed us in November 09.
 
Not a nice person to deal with, the lies that comes out of his month.  When asked about the check he stated that his company lost the check.  Mind you the windows were done in July of 09.

This company will lie to you, add charges you didn't ask for, hire contractors that will steal from you and leave a huge mess and not do the job that was intended to do.

Be aware and don't be fooled. Don't hire these companies.

 I am the owner of Exterior Home Innovations. I am apalled about this report !

I personally remember this Homeowner...The House was a disaster, every room of the house was cluttered debris...unfinished projects throughout the house.

One of my guys did accidentialy put a putty knife in thier pouch. It was the exact kind I provide for my installers...She made me aware of this , and I promptly returned her putty knife.Personally!

Clear Choices salesman does not know how to use a Tapemeasure. These windows were not properly measured..And as INSTRUCTED BY BOB GIBSON..We installed them anyway...I told the salesman to re-order the windows.

They were installed Properly but we had to do alot more work, Carpentry...This is why the Job could not be finished in the usual 1 Day.

As far as underbidding Clear Choice, one of My employee, took it upon himself to quote the Homeowner a price of $15.00 to cover the outside stops. Once I heard of this from the homeowner...When I was RETURNING HER PUTTY KNIFE, I immediatly repremanded my Installer...FIRED...I also was the person who informed my boss at the time Bob...I would never step on his toes...and promised I would never go back and do the trims.

We did lots more installations for Clear Choice after this job, I was never terminated from Clear Choice either...Just did not want to install windows for $25.00 each anymore. Especially when they dont fit.

As it pertains to the allegations brought forth by this customer, I submit the following rebuttal and comments pertaining to this incident


1. That there were service related issues that existed on this project. This is a true statement by the customer and our service department made what we believe to be more than reasonable efforts to resolve the matter which extended beyond the scope of what the contract called for at no additionalcost to the customer.


2. That our subcontracted crew stole tools off of the customers table. This statement is mis-leading as although it is true that a $7.00 window scraper was taken from the customers table, it was in fact, an identical scraper that one of the workers had, and they took it by mistake.  The item was subsequently returned.


3. That I "fired" the subcontracting crew for underbidding us on exterior aluminum trim work.  The fact of this matter is that when we decide to hire contractors to do work on OUR CUSTOMERS HOMES, it is with the understanding that they are OUR CUSTOMER HOMES  and not THEIR CUSTOMERS HOMES.  We pay dearly for leads generated through our ad efforts and do not think favorably about contractors stealing our business from us. For that reason we decided to no longer use this contractor to do work for us. IT BECAME ENTIRELY A TRUST ISSUE.


4. Lastly, as it relates to the customers final payment check not being posted by our company, this is a true statement however, our company is set up that NO FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS are processed through local offices but rather through the Corporate location in Atlanta. As such,  it wasn't until 3 months after the fact that our office in Milwaukee was made aware that this customers check was lost by corporate and therefore not deposited by them. It was unfortunate that this happened, however, the customer never bothered to call US to see why her check had not cleared her bank yet.  It wasn't  until we contacted her about the check being lost that it became an issue. At NO TIME was she charged additional monies for anything we had to do to resolve the issues and at NO TIME was she decieved or being intentionally mis-lead.  We ultimately offered to absorb the stop payment fee she would incur on this check if she agreed to send a replacement check. She agreed and we received her replacement check about 4weeks later.


In summary,
