I did do business with click2pay. I opened an account and they called me on the phone to verify who I was. They also confirmed on the phone that my spending limit was to be set at $50. I did not understand how their system worked. I used the account for online gaming. I thought after $50 that any "funds" were for practice as some online games let you practice with "play" money. I thought this becasue they had called me and confirmed my limit at $50.

I played several rounds for a total of $750. The next day I was curious about how their system works and looked into it with more detail.

I saw on the website that they had set my account with a limit of $750 meaning that the full amount was to be deducted from my checking account.

I called click2pay and discussed it with them. I spoke with 3 different people and they all agreed that they could see in their system from the notes of the person that called me that my account was supposed to be set with a $50 limit. They admitted that they were in error. However, they said that they would have to forward my case to Munich for review and an answer as to any adjustment. One of the reps even advised me to contact my local bank because the charges were already in the pipeline.

A few days later I called them again to see what if anything had been decided. The person I spoke with this time hung up on me after telling me that I owed them the full amount.

I emailed several times and have finally been told that I owe the money and need to pay or it will go to collections.

My problem is that they admit making a mistake in setting up my account but say I still owe the money. If they had set up my account properly, I would have only owed them $50.

I think it is a rip off.
