I applied for a job online.  A telemarketer from Climber.com contacted me.  He told me that they only represented mid to upper level jobs which is why it was worth the $39.95 per month unlike monster.com and others to find my perfect match.  I did not bite, but told him he could email me.  After several emails, one caught my eye "Insurance Sales - 12 new".  I pull them up and find my dream job listed RVP Long term care Genworth St. Louis.  After that I pay the monthly freight, knowing I can cancel and even after reading several complaints and only 2 good reviews on climber.com.  I wanted that job.

I spent hours uploading and redoing my resume, trying to find that job which would never come up on their site other than via the original email which would not let me apply through that avenue.  I receive two calls per DAY to upsell me to a $599 resume review.  I also try to track the job on other sites and I can't find it.  Maybe they do have "special listings".  Wrong!

The "freshest job postings on the internet based on my criteria" as stated in the email turned out to be the job I was interested having been posted 11 months prior.  Not surprisingly, it has been filled!

In addition, the rep told me they had "requirements for their employers of 65k plus bonus per month" and that the other free sites like monster were "only entry level".  Yet their site took me to monster.com repeatedly for the same entry level jobs.  Clearly, no minimum for a 100% commission job.  Also, he told me they "didn't want to just waste my time" that this was legit and he really wanted to "get me in there."  My guess is that they are selling lists of very personal information.  I have deleted my account, but anything can be gotten off of their system at their end.  This is my primary concern at this point, though I also want the refund.

They are preying on people in a horrible economy and job market.  Many state they can't get their money back in other ripoff reports.  That is a disaster for some.  I find the whole thing highly unethical and can't believe they maintain a high rating with the Better Business Bureau.  Clearly their criteria isn't high enough.  Thank you for being here.
