A possible class action suit in the making??? Coast Dental is a corporation run by people only interested in milking their clients and their insurance companies and then abandoning them. I currently have spent $10k with these people and they were told by their own dentists that the job was botched and to please refund my money. They continue to avoid me so I have submitted their actions to the Florida Department of Health for review. I am also talking with Humana insurance as they have taken all they could from them as well. There are many complaints around the web on Coast Dental so I ask that you do your due diligence before seeking their services. In all of my years I have never seen such poor regard for customer satisfaction. It's like they're milking it until the state shuts them down! BEWARE!!!

I now have to have most of my lower teeth replaced with implants due to the total negligence and general malpractice of the dentist(s) that worked on me at Coast Dental. Not only will it cost me thousands more but there will be months of rehab...and I only went in to have my 4 front lower teeth capped for asthetic reasons only!

Coast Dental and Dental Groups

AUTHOR: fishfan56 - ()

POSTED: Monday, June 09, 2014

Yes, I understand that young dentists are forced to join these practices to pay the bills but this group are just plain criminal. There are so many great dentists out there and unfortunately I chose the wrong path. There should be some kind of regulation out there to protect the consumer but unfortunately there isn't. The state of Florida's DOH is a joke as they won't even try to touch this group. They will only go after the dentist that worked at, and was constrained by the group, not the group itself. And in the words of an attorney I know and have tremendous respect for, (they are few!), it would cost over $100k to prosecute a case that is for 10k...nobody will take it. This is a real shame for the people of this state, and another black eye for dental practices as a whole.

Don't use chains

I am a dentist with 34 years of practice experience. Corporate dental chains are bad news. I know their advertisements are convincing, but patronizing them is a very bad idea. They pressure young dentists with high debt to produce ever-higher revenues.

You made a bad mistake going to a chain clinic. There are plenty of dentists who own their practices that will treat you well.
