Coggin Toyota At The Avenues ripoff Jacksonville Florida

On Thursday, July 22,2004 I purchased a used 2004 Ponitac Grand Am used from Coggin Toyota at the Avenues. The salesman who sold me the car was very nice but neglected to tell me that my financing was subject to third party approval. They let me drive this car around for a whole week thinking everything was ok.

That following Friday, another salesman called me and said that the bank rejected my loan and they wanted the car back immediately if I couldn't come up with a co-signer. When I asked the man if I couldn't come up with a co-signer, what could they put me in? He told me, " We can't do nothing else for you" in the nastiest way possible. When I got to the dealer to return the car, I asked the manager why would they even let me take the car home if they knew that I didn't meet the income requirements? All he could say is that "Florida law says that all financing is subject to 3rd party approval."

Now mind you I've been to other dealers here in Jacksonville and they told me up front that I didn't make enough money to purchase vehicles at their lot, which I could appreciate because they told me the truth up front. But NO NOT COGGIN!!!!

I can say that the only good thing out of this whole deal is that the gave me my down payment of $500 back, BUT I WILL NEVER EVER, EVER, EVER BUY ANOTHER CAR FROM ANY COGGIN DEALER HERE IN JACKSONVILLE!!!!
