Columbia Telecommunications ripoff $25 Rebate not paid on SVND-14S FRS 2-Pack VP radio kit. Farmingdale New York

Purchased one Columbia Telecommunications SVND-14S FRS 2-Pack VP radio kit from Fry's Electronics, Phoenix, AZ 10OCT03, mailed register rebate tape and rebate form with all documentation on 11OCT03 to Columbia Telecom at P.O. Box 4065, Farmingdale, NY 11735.

Waited the stated "Gloria" said 2-3 weeks more, got Reference #7998. 08MAR04 "Barbara" said 4000 checks approved to go out, writing as many as they can each day?? 22Mar04 "Barbara" Said "we are only allowed to send a certain number of checks each day, also we are a small company". I asked her to move my rebate to the top of the stack so I could quit bothering her. She said A LOT of people are bothering me!

Five more calls about one a month. Either no answer or "mailbox full call back" left msg. for cust. ser. to call me, no call back.

Finally Googled Columbia Telecom and there was the whole story. Fry's is paying the rebates, Fax you original submission paperwork, with UPC# to Fry's Electronics Legal Dept. (408)487.4700, Atten: "Leonie" She will process a check in about 2 weeks, I faxed mint today, we'll see if the check shows up!
