Combined Insurance Company of America mass fired a group that I was part of. Rip-off! Chicago Illinois

I was part of the group in Ohio that was fired en masse because Richard Ravin was angry with Sales Manager, Debbi Lent, for sending a fax accusing him of sexual discrimation based on sexual harassment in the past. Why would he do so? Because he could!

I was a Sales Manager; but was not happy. The executives in this company were all about themselves and their bonuses. They did not care how they achieved this. This company was all about endless conference calls to "brainwash" you; trips away from home which the agent paid for; not paying claims; ripping off old people; not paying their agents and co-mingling agents money with the company's in order to pay policy-holder's premiums, thereby creating huge debits which were held against the agent.

I was fired from the largest, most profitable district in the whole company. I have a 9-year old daughter to support (which was the only reason I stayed) and because Richard Ravin, CEO & President of Combined "was put in short pants" by my District Manager, we were all terminated for no cause.

I have heard a Vice-President of the company refer to the agents as "little cash registers" and valuable only to generate premiums and manweeks for the company executives and to show stockholders how successful Combined Insurance Company of America is. This company does not care about any of the field people. BUT, if you are looking to stay in the insurance business, (competator name removed by ripoffreport.com) in Cleveland, Ohio pays much better and truly does care about their people! Combined Insurance should be investigated more thoroughly.
