Community Reading Club Of The Central Coast (CRC) ripoff, liers, frauds!!!! San Luis Obispo California

On October 4th, 2005, I recieved a phone call from a so called magazine club and that they had a great deal they wanted me to try out. They said it would be a 10 day free trial and for just trying it, I would get a 3 days & 2 nights vacation travel along with $50 worth of gift cards for walmart and gas. But before I could get it I had to pay a small fee of 4.99 for the package of material information and free gifts.

They said if I didn't cancel before the free trial is over then 81.00 would be charge on my visa. They asked for my visa card number and had a supervisor come and and said they were even going to record the conversation. They not only asked for my credit number but the phone of my work place and my parents phone. I was stupid enough to fall for that one, I remeber asking why and they said it was because I was under 21. So being a naive and young 20 year old I thought it was a good deal. When the package arrived, which wasn't even a package rather it was a normal sized white envleop with a greeting letter and the vacation travel. No gift cards anywhere.

I then decided I wanted to cancel, but when i called all i got was an answering machine telling me business hours are from 9am-5pm or somthing and I was calling at 10am and 11am. No one was there. The next day I call and got a busy signal instead and it's been like that since. I did the research and found out that they were frauds, cheating money from dozens of people already.

So I called my bank up and they've canceled the visa card (The Jerks can't get my money now!!) and I got a new one. I don't think anyone should have to go through this hoax. It's wrong and disguisting. Those people should be caught and stopped!
