18 years old and decided to take a chance on a magazine deal. While on the phone a particular company told me I had the chance to cancel at ANY time. So I took a chance.

After I started getting overdrafts on my checking, I was really bedazzled because I never wrote out a single check (only using my debit card) I was wondering why a company in Washington State was writing out checks and all these other companies were taking money with out permission (including CRC). I was able to cancel the subscription to the original company I signed on.

Later, CRC started calling me at home. A particular incident involved me telling the women on the other line that I didn't want the account and she hung up on ME. Next day, CRC called again and stated that I was "stupid for engaging in something I couldn't handle". Shocked, because I didn't even order it in the first place, I decided to compromise.

CRC stated that if I paid a balance of $299.99 I would be cleared from their records. After paying the balance.... they started to call me at WORK! Once again, frazzled, I tried to talk as calmly as possible and declared that my father was handling my account. After having them talk with my father, they told him that he can't talk to anyone because his name was not on the account. Questions: Why did they tell me they would talk to him then? AND If they want to settle this whole situation, why didn't they talk with my father?

Just last night, they called me at 8:00 p.m. while I was at work and insulted me once again. The woman I talked with asked me if I was "able to handle anything by myself without having my father help me and state that this was my responsibility." Being insulted is not something I am able to tolerate, especially when a situation at this proportion is at hand.

If anyone can give me more information about this company, I would more than appreciate it! I am still in the fight to keep my money that I am using to get through college. I work 4 part-time jobs and am a full-time student.
