Comp USA Comp USA does not stand behind faulty stuff they sell. Albuquerque New Mexico
*Consumer Comment: This Is Not A Rip-Off
I took back a 2gb stick today because it never worked. I was informed that I was 3 days past the 21 days they offer to make stuff good. Give me a Break! They don't care about their customers. What a crappy way to ruin a business. I have spent a lot of bucks at that place but beieve me they will never see another openny of my businesses money. I can take anything back to WalMart/Costco and Sams with no trouble. I hope everyone thinks twice about support a company that does not stand behind what the sell...

This Is Not A Rip-Off

CompUSA offers a 21 day return policy on most of the products they sell. While this is not as long as some retailers (30 days), it IS longer than others who offer only 14 days. You indicate that the memory stick never did work, yet it took you 24 days to get it back to the store? Of course you were denied the return or exchange. 21 days does not mean 24...or even 22.
It has nothing to do with "standing behind their products." Retailers can only be responsible for SO long, then the manufacturer has to take over and be responsible for the products they make. I suggest you contact the manufacturer and take advantage of their guarantee against defects policy. Most all have such a guarantee.
It doesn't matter WHERE you go to buy the things you need. You are ALWAYS going to be bound to a certain number of days to return something if it is defective or you don't like it. If you find something you just purchased is broken or bad in some way, go right back to the store immediately. Or at the least the next day. That way, you will avoid problems like this again.
Procrastination sucks.
