Compass Travel Travellooga, Top Travel Scam, fakes, I worked there, liars, drug addicts! Ft. Lauderdale Florida

I worked at this company for a few months.  My job was customer service.  I quickly got to realize the company was a complete scam.  When a customer asks for a price quote before signing the contract, they run to the back office, call Member Services Group (which is the fullfillment company) and get a quote. The quote is usually somewhere around a price you can find online. Then they "buy down" the price meaning they will pay a certain amount toward the vacation and tell the customer the price after the buy down instead of the price they would get normally. So if they get a quote for $2,000.00, they would tell the customer the price is $1,200.00 and they would do a side deal with Member Services Group to pay the $800.00. The thing is they only do this to get the deal or if it is a member that is still in rescission.  If the member is out of rescission, too bad for them. They have to call Member Services Group and get the crappy price.  I've heard several employees saying, people that buy from us are stupid.  Smart people do their research first.  Also, when coming to do the presentation, if you are French Canadian, or Indian forget about it. They usually refuse to even let you watch the presentation. 

The owner Richard Franken is a drug addict and an alcoholic. He is on cocaine almost every single day that I've been there. He drinks in the office every single day.  He goes to Lulu's which is a bar on the second floor and comes up to the office with his famous vodka, with redbull and cranberry. He insists that he can drive drunk because the redbull keeps him up (and I'm sure he thinks the coke does too).  His wife Yulia used to work in the office but ever since she found out he was having an affair with a lady (for lack of a better term) named Gillian, he makes his wife stay home. His wife (or fiance) shows up once in a while but she was banned from Beach Place because she tried to choke Gillian (good for her). She has bruises all over her body.  I haven't personally seen him striking her but I've heard stories from other employees that he is extremely physically abusive. He is verbally abusive to her.  I've heard him on the phone telling his wife that she was good for nothing. One time their 3 year old came to the office with a black eye.  I'd not like to speculate as to how that happened.  

The Project Director is a joke. His name is Joey Russell. He is on steroids and as a matter of fact had a mild heart attach about a month ago because of the steroids. He is violent in the office, slamming things, breaking things, threatening Richard.  He sexually harrasses most girls that are there.  If you refuse his advances, he will make your job a living hell by pulling his weight around and making sure everyone knows that he is the one in charge and he is irreplaceable.  Joey has taken off his shirt in my office to show me his muscles. He has rubbed his genetalia in front of me while moaning. He constantly makes unwanted sexual advances.  I brought this up to Richards attention because I and another employee were getting increasingly uncomfortable and his answer was oh well, I've heard other people say sexual things so I don't want to hear it.   Joey makes too much money for him scamming people. 

Save yourself trouble, do not buy from this company. You will only be dissapointed. There are several really nice people that work there, but unfortunately the supervisors and some management are scum and have terrible character traits.
