Concept Financial Trust I received check with a number to call "Steve Davis". He said to "cash the check". The company name on the check is StarPak, LTD, 9690 W. Wingfoot Rd, Houston, TX 77041. I was able to speak with an accounts receivable rep at StarPak about the check and they confirmed that the check is NOT valid, and they have had SEVERAL checks issued fraudulently with their company name on it. I received a letter from Concept Financial Trust stating that I won $56,985.00 from the Annual Consumer's Clearing Awards. They included a check for $3,985.00 to defray expenses I may incur to secure my award. There was a number on the letter to contact Steve Davis at 1-902-412-0336 to release the funds. A recording said to call 1-514-582-9343 instead. The person who answered said to cash the check then call back in 2 days when it clears. The company name on the check was StarPak Ltd in Houston Texas. I located a number for StarPak and they confirmed that fraudulent checks were being issued using their company name, and the check I receieved was invalid. They stated it is a scam which they are currently investigating.
