Conn's Deceptive insurance sale Amarillo Texas

Buyer beware, Conns will add insurance to you financing without telling you. Additionally their customer service center is slow and provides little to no feedback of the status of you account after you contact them about the added insurance that you try to have removed.

We purchased a refrigerator 12 moths same as cash. Conns added optional insurance that we did not want because we have homeowners insurance. We faxed them a decleration page that shows we have homeonewrs insurance, they refuse to remove the insurance from our account sating that we provided the insurance information to late. We were told other wise by a customer service representative that all we had to do was fax a copy and the optional insurance would be removed from the account. This did not happen and it looks like we will be paying the insurance so that we can pay 12 months no interet before the time is up and get this account closed.

So buyer beware about the insurance they sell. Additionally there is an added amount on our account they cannot provide an explanantion for that we will be paying. 3 customer service reps saw the same thing after adding up the numbers on our retail installment contract we were talking about and cannot provide an accurate expalnation of this additional charge. They refered us to the insurance department and said it is a pro rated amount of inusrance we owe but the amounts jsut dont click so again buyer beware of Conn's optional insurance.
