CONN'S Appliances Lost Payment Run Around Beaumont Texas

On Oct. 25,2007 I made a $500.00 payment inside Store #71 by check. as of today Jan 16,2008. The payment still has not posted to my account. Now when I discovered this on 1-08-08 I called the 800#. 4 times 3 of which I was hung up on. On the 4 call I was told the bad news. To which I responded that I have a cancelled CHECK. And was called a liar.

Well I went to my bank and got a copy of this check. Went into store #71. Showed them the check at which time the cashier said that there was no proof of this. At which time I asked for a manager. and low and behold the guy that I had dealt with on 10-25-07. Was the manager on duty. He said that he had remembered me. He called the customer service department. And gave me a name of Lucia that would take care of this matter.

I called her and faxed her the copy of the check both front and back. The next morning on 1-9-08 I received a call back from her stating that they needed a copy on my bank statement to prove that this had posted to my account. I re-faxed a copy on the check again front and back and a copy on my bank statement. and was told that someone would be calling me back.

At 1:44 P.M. on 1-9-08 a research rep by the name of Nick called me back. And said that in fact there was an error. And that he would be crediting my account for the $500.00. at which time I thought this over.

Today I received a letter from A customer service rep by the name Undrea. Telling me that they needed a copy of the check front and back to investigate this matter. I called and in fact my account has never been credited.

There has been no help form CONN'S as of this date.

My warning is stay away from this company!
