I just got off the phone with a Phillipe who claims that he is the GOD of CPS and he is the only one I can speak with. He was not only rude he misquoted me and put words in my mouth. I have tried to work with this company several times. I have even tried to change my due date so I would not be late and could pay on time as my job changed. Still not trying to work with me, yet they harass my friends and family. Get this over $120 I am behind and I am not even 30 days behind on it.
Now I am reading if you tell them to come get it they won't! If there is a class action lawsuit I would like to be a part of it. If not there needs to be. Given the economic times CPS is not doing their part to help the American People!

Who Says They Need To Help?

Everything you described happened because you were LATE on your payments. This is a sub-prime lender and they agreed to lend to you, a sub-prime borrower. You became a sub-prime borrower by NOT paying your bills on time. Here we are today and you're STILL paying your bills late! Is it possible, however so slight, that something is begining to "click" here?
You signed a CONTRACT under which they agreed to finance you, despite your credit reputation, and in turn YOU AGREED to make each and every payment ON TIME. If you are late, they can and will contact the references you provided in an effort to get the money YOU AGREED to pay them. The next step is for them to further protect their interests by picking up the car.
Any late fees and other collection charges should have been listed in the contract, which is standard practice. Since you act surprised regarding these fees, I suspect you didn't even read what you signed!
They are under no obligation to, as you put it, "help the American people." Help what? To look the otherway when people don't have the willingness to honor their own word and keep up their end of the contract?
All this said, it is pretty bad, but there CAN be a bright ending, if you want one. Apparently you are having problems making the payments. Why not get an additional job on weekends or other times to increase you income. Of course it will interfere with your "social life", but it will get you out from the eight ball. Quite frankly, it comes down to a "yes" or "no" choice. Do you want to be a sub-prime borrower forever? Are you willing to do whatever it takes to work your way out of sub-prime territory?
They have done NOTHING to warrant a C/A. All they have done is exercize their rights under the terms of the contract and the jurisdiction in which they operate.
All the power is in your hands to change this FOREVER. What will it be??????
