I got a car loan through CONSUMER PORTFOLIO SERVICES - LOAN SERVICING CENTER in April. My payments were on time until I became a victim of a internet scam (which whipped out all my savings-two house payments and vehicle payments). I called the company and explained my situation and that I would be late on my payment. The person at the time seemed generous. I set up a payment to be due Aug 24, 2007. Since Aug 20 I constantly get calls at my job and at my home that they keep threatening they are going to come get the car. I finally told them to come get the car. The harassment is unbelieveable. Them calling my home and telling my 10 year old daughter they were coming to get the vehicle is cruel. They have also told my boss this. The phone calls at work are endless and I am very upset. This company is cold hearted and apparently none of the workers have ever been in a situation like this or have fallen behind on a bill. Please watch out for this company!

I too had a repo from these guys.......they would work with me only so far, before I finally told them to come get it!! They sold it at auction, sent me a bill for the balance, and you know what I did?? I sent them a check for $25.00 which they cashed, 3 months in a row, which means they were accepting my good faith efforts to pay the balance! They even sent me a letter saying they would be expecting my $25.00 monthly payment every month!!
But, they have never called me since!! And every month I send them a $25.00 check, which they cash.........which means it will take 30 plus years to pay the loan off.........but at least they aren't calling 10 times a day!!!!!
