Bought a years worth of contact lenses from Cooper Vision from my local optomotrist...solely because of the promise of a rebate.  I would not have made that large of a purchase had I not been promised a nice rebate.

I completed the online application for the rebate and mailed ALL required documentation for my rebate to be handled as directed.  This was completed in the 1st week of July 2010.  Was informed the rebate would arrive in the form of a visa gift card withing 4-6 weeks.  As of 10/11/10 I have yet to receive my rebate.  I have made multiple contacts via email to rebate headquarters and have gotten nothing, but the run around. Was promised that the rebate had been sent for processing on 9/2 and would have it within 15 days. When it did not arrive by the promised date, I emailed again.  Was again notified that it was sent for processing on 9/14/10 and promised to have within 15 days. Did not receive rebate by that promised date.  I emailed them again stating I was going to contact the BBB and post on this site if I did not receive it as promised.

As of today, 10/11/10 I still have not received my rebate....so I am following through with my promise of posting here to warn others of Cooper Vision's lack of customer service and misleading communication regarding their promotional rebates.

Finally got Cift Card in the mail

AUTHOR: chrisb - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 27, 2010

I finally received by $60 gift card from Cooper Vision on 10/25/10. This was a little over 3 months after I sent my paperwork in.  Here is the kicker...they sent out a replacement card according to them that had a $6.95 fee taken out of the card.  I called the number on the back of the card and explained that this had taken 3 months etc and they put the $6.95 back on the card.  It was not until I reported to Cooper Vision that I had put a report on this website that I finally got my gift card that should have been mailed in JUly.

I won't be buying Cooper Vision products in the future.

Update

AUTHOR: chrisb - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, October 15, 2010

According to CooperVision's rebate headquarters website where rebates can be tracked...my rebate was received for processing on 7/22/10.  Here is the status from their website...

(Your rebate is valid. Please allow up to 30 days to receive your rebate.)

So by their own website I should have received my rebate by August 22, 2010 and as of today they are almost 2 whole months late after the promised date.

They have also stopped returning my emails at this point.
