We were approached by Mr. Cannon as we were leaving Wal*Mart in Hilton Head SC. He asked if we were visiting, which we were. He then smooth talked us about the area, advising us we should visit some of the highlights in Hilton Head. He offered us FREE tickets to Daufauski Island, ferry boat AND lunch included. All we had to do was attend a short presentation at Coral Resorts. We agreed. He then demanded $20 up front to show our good faith in keeping the appointment. This would be returned, he said, when we attended the presentation. Again, we agreed as we had no intention of not showing up.

The next day, we attended their TWO HOUR presentation. I would not call that short. Our presenter was pleasant enough but the timeshare was not for us, (almost $20,000) so we declined. We were then sent into another room with a closer. He offered us the same deal only with no ownership status for only $2,000, but we declined that also. He was not very pleasant, but stamped our sheet, "Not Buying" and sent us on our way. We then had to return to the original counter, present our sheet and wait a bit before being given a sealed envelope with our "gifts". Inside we found ferry tickets to the Island as promised. We did not find lunch tickets nor our $20. What we did find was a $20 'gift mastercard' which we are not sure if it's good or not. We've tried to use it twice now and both times it was declined. Anyway, we recontacted the resort and were told to contact Mr. Cannon who was our first contact.

We called him about the $25 lunch tickets and he said he was involved in 'family time' and could he call us back the next day. He mentioned they 'must have forgotten to include the lunch tickets as we were the second person who had called with the same issue. Understanding family time is important we told him he could call us the next day. Well, he never did. We tried calling him several times after that, but apparently our number is blocked because it would immediately go to voice mail. I sent him several text messages but they were ignored too.

I believe this scam should be stopped. We still enjoyed our trip to the island but had to pay for lunch ourselves. That too, is no big deal but I feel one should not promise something if you're not going to perform. It makes me glad I did not BUY anything from Coral Resorts, if this is the way they run their practice. I hope my post helps someone else from wasting their time with this company.
