This "company" if you can even call them that, is no help to anyone. I was financed thru this co in 9/02 --paying on time, etc. Then, I lost one source of my income (3/04), before the current note was due, i notified this co in advance by phone,fax & mail, about my situation (which I was told by several reps that they never rec'd it), etc.
They just continued to tell me what was due, yada, yada, all i wanted them to do was refinance or find a way to help lower my payments so that i could still stay current. Whatever!!!
They continued to call my job & relatives, etc. harassing whomever they spoke with, being hostile & rude, but no one I mean NO ONE, ever got back with me about my original request only kept stating what the bal. was & what i intended do about it. But, when i ask about my request it's like they don't here what you are saying, they overtalk & belittle you, instead of working out some type of resolution. Did that ever happen, NO.
So, what I did, was close my children's christmas club account & was going to send them the money Quick Collect. They said that method of payment was unacceptable. They insisted on a check by phone-(if you tell someone you don't have a checking acct, how are you to do check by phone???) I questioned what's the difference. Quick Collect you get it say a couple of hours or so, where check by phone; if i had one would take what 2-3 days depending on what day of week it is!!! What company do you know turns down Western Union Quick collect!!????!!!
2 mos have passed with the continuous threatening calls,etc. I've told them to get the car, they finally did (took them long enough). But, they are still calling & get this they are now ready to work with me, after notifying them in a timely manner, being harassed, etc. YOU'RE READY TO WORK WITH ME!!!! HA HA HA,
So, new car buyers or 2nd, etc. if you can, try to find out what finance co the dealership is using to approve you. Because if it's CPS, Consumer Portfolio Services, etc. (Hey they have several names they go by check the BBB)---STEER CLEAR, you don't want the migraines this co. gives you.
Oh, by the way, I was able to restore my children's christmas club acct, so they still will have a good Christmas & we are doing just fine on public transportation, which i would rather deal with than a so call "reputable finance co" Double ha to that. We will be riding very soon, even if it is a get by car :-)
