After my divorce, I could no longer afford all the credit card payments, car, and mortgage any longer. I heard the ad on the radio for these people, Credit Answers. I called and buddy let me tell you, they promised me everything under the moon.
They told me not to worry, stop paying all your bills and after a few months the banks would be almost begging to offer lower payoffs and interest rates etc. Well, I stopped paying the cards yet entered into an agreement with Credit Answers to allow them to auto withdrawl 399 dollars a month from my checking account until 4300 dollars was paid. This would be the amount they charged me for their "debt resolution services."
After about a year, I paid Credit Answer their fees in full, including a 39 dollar a month extra maintainance fee, and then opted out of the program. The reason why I quit them is because they did absolutely nothing for me. The bill collectors called my parents, their next door neighbors, every single phone number they ever had for me. They drove me crazy!! I reported all these things to Credit Answers and all they would say was "great! We will use it against them when we start settleing your accounts".
I never received any debt resolution help from Credit Answers and when I asked for a refund, they told me they would not refund any monies because they had worked so many hours on my accounts etc. Such BS!!! I feel that they should refund the entire amount of 4500 dollars and the 39 dollar a month fees!! I hope everyone reads this letter and stays far away from Credit Answers. You can resolve your debt on your own. These d****e bags told a pack of lies and stole enough money from me that I could use to actually have paid one of the cards in full!!
