Credit Report America.com Shut this company down! It is a total scam . .

Unfortunuately, my mother gave these folks her credit card number. We have disputed the transactions with the credit card company.

This company is designed to take your money. They charge $1.00 to make sure the card will work and then gives instructions on how to obtain your free credit report by going to the bureaus and getting it yourself.

The site is mis-leading bacause it makes you think a free credit report will be provided, but the hidden goal is to enroll someone in what they call a "credit boost" program for $11.95 per month and a "fraud protection resource center" for $4.95 per month.

I could find NO details about either of these programs. It seems that they just want to bill people's credit cards for as long as they can get away with it.

They list two toll-free numbers to call that go to voicemail boxes trying to sell additional products. Finally the message directs you to a website to "chat" with a live person. THEY WANT YOU TO TYPE RATHER THAN PICK UP THE PHONE.

It starts out with wanting you to enter your email address to enter the "live chat room". My mom's email address came up invalid so we couldn't even proceed to request a cancellation.

I am just too mad to continue. Please do not give your credit card number to these people. If you already have, call your bank to request a block and cancel the current charges.

Infuriating.
