Credit One charges a FEE if your online payment is an "Express Payment". I have a credit card with another company, and I always pay online. The other co. has never charged extra to credit the payment, and I receive a receipt within an hour, which proves how fast an online payment normally should be.  He was told by Credit One to wait a few days to see if a bill showed up.

Personally, I feel that everyone who makes a payment to Credit One should do so by check via snail mail. Instead of essentially a zero cost to Credit One for a computer transaction, they themselves will then have to pay to have a human input the check, deposit the check, and get it through the system. If they are hit in the wallet, they may wake up.

Their charging for an "Express Payment" is a rip-off all by itself, since it costs them a fraction of a cent to process a computer transaction, which is undoubtedly processed at the same time as a normal on-line payment. And if it is not processed at the same time as the so-called "Express Payment", then that is the fault of their own IT department, not the customer.

Why don't you pay online?

Creditone has a website where you can view your bill and make payments at any time. It does not cost you anything to make a payment online unless you make an "express payment".

If you are worried about your bank account being compromised by making online payments, use a separate account only for online payments and keep the bulk of your funds in your main account. You can not use the excuse of "I didn't get a bill" from the company to not make your payments timely. Especially today when your account is readily available to see debits and credits online.
