This bank is a scam bad enough people may have blemishes on their credit and to be harrassed while attempting to correct those issues is ridiculous.  I am stuck in a hole either way the cut goes as a vehicle was financed through them a buddy deal I am sure and the vehicle was not checked by the bank just went on the dealers word well I have been repairing the vehicle since I purchased it 12 months ago.  So to pay a note and pay for repairs is hard you would think the bank would take that in consideration "nope" just show me the money.  The collections manager is a joke quick to send out orders for repo yes, I have had some payments returned as after the payments are made repairs are needed a vicious cycle. Need the vehicle to get to work to make money to pay the note so when a repair is needed guess what happens ?????  It is the holiday wknd and they are threatening repossession on Thanksgiving !!!  I am so pissed with this company I would give it to them but, then I will have to pay for something I don't have and the icing on the cake is I can pay the note on Monday when normal business hours resume.  I have definitely marked them in my calendar of not to deal with  and suggest others not to as well. I truly beleive the dealerships get kick backs from this bank and that is why they place people with them.  BEWARE OF THIS BANK as this has been the worst auto financing deal I have ever experienced.

Not the banks responsibility

AUTHOR: Flynrider - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, November 25, 2009

"the vehicle was not checked by the bank just went on the dealers word "

Are you under the impression that the bank is responsible for making sure that you do not foolishly purchase a broken down vehicle?    No bank is responsible for checking out a vehicle before loaning money on it.    This may come as a surprise to you, but that is YOUR responsibility.

In the future, you should avoid buying any used car without first getting it checked out by a competent mechanic.  That is the only way to avoid being caught in the predicament you're now in.   Almost all cars are sold with a paper that claims the car is being sold "as is" with no implied warranties.  That means once you sign the purchase contract, you are responsible for anything that goes wrong with the car.  Not the dealer or the bank.   If you don't protect yourself in the transaction, no one else will.

As for the bank, that's simple.   If you get a car loan from any financial instituion and you don't pay according to the contract, they will do exactly what Crescent is doing.   Everybody that can't make their payment has a good reason.  If a lender were to "take that into consideration" for every loan that went unpaid, they'd be out of business pretty quickly.
