I will admit I fell behind in my payments slow payments. I was recently at the tail end of my nursing program. I kept in contact was never disrespectful to any of the employees. I explained that I was waiting on my first pay check, that I was not sure how much the check would be but I did know it would be a live check..(not direct deposit). Any time I had always paid current. They began threnting my with repossesion. I explain if they had to take that action (I did not want that I am close to having the car paid for) I would not try to fight of hide the vehical. I would rather try to get a payment in and I barrowed money from a payday advance.. They still sent a guy out to "inspect the vehical after I made my car payment for the previous month (May I paid this on June 19th) I explain my June's payment would be paid 6/28! I wanted to keep my car.

Today I called my payment in after a 12hr shift. They accepted it, I asked them if I was still under a volunteer reposession..the rep said no. they have been rude..I explained the reason for my constant calls are because I have been lied too by them and I was not going to make another payment unless I had "proof" they refused to send me anything in writing about my balance and refused to email me a currant statement the online site still shows I have a balance! The lady refused to send me a new coupon book. to send in my payments in the future. I fear they will take my car after I paid it currant and charge me to get it back or still say I owe against the car. This is my only transportation. I just want to rid of them! All I want is the truth about the status they know I am beginng a a new career and know they will get their money either way! I told the that the car will be paid off quicky now because I have a stable job and good salary, but right now I am still broke..only one paycheck..

Why won't they correspond in writing? Also I never put anything in writing about returning the car. tomorrow I am going to send a certified letter with my pay history to the corporate office if I can find it online.


Any advice? My credit isn't good right now to go get another car and I don't have cash on hand. to buy one out right.


Mad if Florida..where are our consumer rights? My payment is up to date.

I would like to say I was very stupid at a young age and very irresponsible to boot. I consigned a car for my husband not once but twice and both times he never paid so the cars got repoed. I also made many mistakes and got into debt by getting into debt very stupidly not paying for things I opened like credit cards because at a young age I didn't think about my credit rating and how it will affect me the rest of my life. Wish I would have been more responsible now. Anyways I just got a car loan from crescent bank @ trust. it was a miracle I was given a second chance and yes I knew since I had bad credit I would be paying a high interest rate but it's noones fault but my own. I am thankful they gave me a chance to not only have a nice car but to fix my credit. I have been reading comments on here left by others saying how they are late on payments and expect this bank to listen to their boo h*o stories. I know times are hard but without credit of some sort then you have nothing. The lady I spoke to was very nice and they gave me a chance when no other bank would and I am going to show them I will make every payment on time each month til paid off. So many people write how they lost their job and expect the bank to take pity? Go get another job quickly so you can pay for the car. If you don't then the car will be repoed and you won't have a job or a car!  can live life expecting pity. This bank gave you a loan. They gave you a chance to have a car now it's your job to pay on time as you promised. Crescent bank gave me a chance and I am very appreciatve to them and very excited to finally have a chance to fix my credit!!! Thanks crescent bank @ trust and I am glad to be doing business with you.

 Dear Mad in Florida:

I understand your feelings. This bank is impossible to deal with. If you call them you are stuck with speaking to a collector. They can not do or say anything that is not scripted, generally speaking. They are enforcers, who are trained to threaten and harrazz.

I was 10 days late on a car payment when the threat of repossession was verbally made and a letter arrive 7 days later. They don't like my plan to catch up. so, hang tight.

If you're close to paying it off, do so. If not, look for a new financer. It might be hard to find one but you never know. Afterall, Crescent signed-on. That saidjust remember you know what they are like. I new provider, you don't know, so be caution.


Also, repost the bank to the BBB, LA Attorney general and FL attorney General. The laws in LA & FL are different. FL AGO know all about this bank when I called.


You have done nothing wrong. AYou simply had life happen to you. Unpredictable things happen all the time. You do your very best you can and what will be will be. That's the part you can't change -- don't worry. Life is long and cerdit & credit issues aren't generally what the public (especially inexperienced youth) thinks they are. Take from this the lessons you have learned.


Biggest lesson is don't use or reccommend Crescent Bank to anyone.

You failed to state what dishonest practices the bank conducted.

That statement lacks connotation.

"the online site still shows I have a balance"

Of course it does. You will continue to have a balance until the loan is paid.

What is wrong with the old coupon book?

You DO still owe against the car.

"My credit isn't good right now"

Your credit will not be good for a long time.
