CUNA Mutual Group Not a very helping company Madison WI

I have been unemployed for almost a year. On August 2012 I decided to purchase a vehicle through my credit union, at the time of receiving details of loan payments I was asked if I wanted a protection to cover the payments in the case of loss of employment. My wife and I decided it wouldn't be a bad idea to get the protection since in this day and age jobs aren't always guaranteed. Well unfortunately after close to 3 years of employment on December 2012 the company I worked for decided that my services were no longer needed.

After trying to figure out who we were going to make ends meet, I decided to give Cuna Mutual a call to see if they could be of help since I was recently unemployed. Once I was able to get them out the details of my loss of job, I received a notice of denial because I had filed a claim and it had not been sixs months since I had got their policy. My wife and I were extremely disappointed when they told us that we were denied.

I mean first of all, who in the world knows when you are going to lose your job. Second, I was never told of having to be more than six months paying this insurance before being able to use their assistance. And last I just gave them a call back today since I am still paying for this protection and let them know that I unfortunately still unemployed and I was told that since I was denied the first time I can't file a claim again since my last employee was still before the six months they require. I am extremely disappointed and hope to help others know about this so it won't happen to them in the future.
