Cyberpower Tryed to get me to send them a copy of the front and back of my credit card Baldwin Park, California

I ordered a computer from these people online and wanted it shipped to my son who lives in a different state. It said on their web site that to do that, the credit card company needed to have the second address on file. I did that and then placed the order.

About 3 hours later, I received and email from Cyberpower Inc asking me to fill out a form and send them a copy of my drivers license and a copy of the front and back of the credit card. I felt that this was suspicious so I call the credit card company and they said that they have never heard of anyone asking for a copy of the credit card. They advised me not to send the copies of the credit card.

I called the company and they said that they needed this to ship the computer to a different address other than the billing address. I advised them to just ship the computer to the billing address and I would take care of then shipping it to my son. I also advised them that I would never deal with them again.

I will pass on to you what the credit card company told me. Never send a copy of your credit card to anyone.
