We found out that Cybersource and Authorize.net (same company) have been debiting our business account for over 8 year, at $52.90 per month without our knowledge. We have another merchant account with them that is active and used for our business so no one suspected anything was wrong until we moved and I called to change our address with them and found out that they have two accounts for us. One is the active one and another one that I had no knowledge of. It was opened back in May 2008 and up until now (Sep 2016), they have been debiting our account for their monthly fee. $34.95 for Cybersource and $17.95 for Authorize.net. They admit that there has never ever been any transaction on the duplicate account. Although the account was never used, they continued to debit our account month after month, year after year for a total of more than $5000. I asked them to show me where I signed to open that account but they would not. The rep said Cybersource never refunds any funds, under any circumstance! This to me sounds like, they duplicated our active account just so they can charge the monthly fees. They sent statements but it went undetected by our bookkeeper because we had another authorize.net and cybersource account, she thought these fees were for our credit card processing.
I know we bear some responsibility for not paying more attention to the bills but I believe that a company that sees no activity on the account for years, should stop charging or at least call that customer. My bank called when our checking account had no activity for 3 months. But Cybersource continues to charge their clients with no regard. I know for a fact that we never opened this account. Why would we open a duplicate account and never use it and continue to pay? To me this sounds a lot like what Wells Fargo did, duplicating customer accounts and charging unsuspecting customers.
I have seen many other business owners complain about the unethical business practices of Authorize.net and Cybersource. I believe there is fraud going on in these organizations and they are taking advantage of consumers and business owners.

authorize.net Fraud Company Beware
AUTHOR: onenicelady - (USA)

Ebay referred us to authorize.net because Paypal is a scammer. We filled out a application, and did not hear
back from the authorize.net. So after a week I called several times. Then I noticed they took money outf
our bank account. All of this while they have not provided us with any
account number, no confirmation of
the application, nothing in writing whatsoever. I read several reports here on authorize.net and how they
are scamming unsuspecting victims and refusing to close the account and continuing to steal money from
the account. Also not refunding money they are not entitled to. I look at the rip off report and I am thankful
that I did. I immediately closed the account, and I am reporting them to the FBI for federal raketeering, bank
fraud, etc. I hope many people see this and I will write my own report very soon.
Thank You Ripoff Report for giving consumers and voice and protecting them
