Watch out for these thieves. Thsi company, cyclevin.com trolls craigslist preying on anyone they can to steal 25 dollars from. Here is how the scam works and its really easy to fall for. The owner of this company cyclevin.com has multiple people working for him trolling craigslist all day long. I was selling my 2010 ZX-10R on craigslist for a fair price. I was contacted by someone named Eric Horton, who works for Cyclevin.com. I didnt know this at the time and I fell for the scam. He was really interested in purchasing my motorcycle and asked all the right questions. He agreed to  pay my asking price and was going to come and purchase the bike tomorrow, pending i give him a full vehicle report from cyclevin.com. He was so nice in providing the link for me. He claimed if the title search came back clean then we had a deal and he would be here to purchase my motorcycle the next day. I went to cyclevin.com and entered my VIN information along with my address and credit card information. I paid 25 dollars for something that didnt even resemble a vehicle report and sent it to the buyer as he asked. The vehicle report came back clean and I assumed we had a deal. Until I realized and did some research myself that this Eric Horton works for cyclevin.com and is trolling Craigslist claiming to be interested in purchasing a motorcycle, pending the history report comes back clean. He was even nice enough to provide me a link to his website. It seemed like a logical thing and was cheap enough and with all the emails and responses I recieved from the guy, it seemed totally legit. This is a straight up scam. He was never interested in purchasing my motorcycle, he was only interested in swindleing my 25 dollars for some lower than subpar report. This is totally legal, as the current laws only protect criminals, not the consumer. It should be illegal, and is totally unethical. Posing as a motorcycle buyer, to get you to pay the 25 dollars to his company for this so called vin report, not interested in buying anything at all. Only interested in getting your 25 dollars. Its a straight up scam and I want to make others aware of this criminal.
