I interviewed at both of these companies, (both have since changed their name in a month). At one I was called back for a day of "o" which was crap. This day of "o" took place in Dayton ohio, (along drive from Columbus). The people were nice, but I got a bad feeling, especially because I was not told it was door to door sales before I showed up. Of course I was hired, but because it was a Friday, I had time to research the company. The rep had dropped the term cydcor in the lunch discussion (which I had to pay for my-self). I have used this site before and was amazed to discover the truth (though it was somewhat obvious). The only good thing about the wasted non paid day, was that the other person called back was a girl I went to high school wiht. Since that interview I have felt bad for the traniee that also accompanied the field manager and I because I found out he was already in a bad finacial sitiuation (wife in grad school).

While many people on this this web site claim that these companies can be shut down by writting letters of complaint to careerbuilder.com, that simply is not true. In Columbus ohio, these comapnies advertise in the Columbus Dispatch. I would say about 10 percent of the ads in the dispatch can be traced back to these types of companies. (I am willing to waiste my time and go interview for all of them if anyone wants to film it-good doc film material). Now I ask companies with similiar ads direct questions (a good tip for any job seeker) when I do that, these type of operations hang up on me (a clear sign that something is up). I do admit that I was contacted by both companies on careerbuilder (even though I had already interviewed with one before) but I think the ads in the newspaper are a much bigger/dangerous problem. I am dedicated to posting the names of every known ds-max scheme/cult (the people went on the day of "o" seemed under a cult influenece) in the central Ohio area. So that no one ever waists their day again.
