We started looking for a car in Nov. 01 and we decided with what we thought was the help of the Finance Mgr. Jeremy Glavan, to do a lease. We usually trade our cars in when the warranty runs out, but we are always upside down. Our car salesman Gil, said his sister trades in every few yrs. and this is a good way to get a new car and not be upside down. We only discussed a 3 yr lease.

Since then we have roughly 6 months left to find out they signed us up for a 5 yr lease. This is like we actually bought the car in Dec., and the paperwork was never changed to reflect this, so we were told our fist payment was due the end of Jan. but the way they had it, it was due the end of Dec. so our first payment was late. We were told there is no such thing as a 3 yr lease only 5, which we know to be a lie. They told us the Durango had great resale, we took out a lease for 27000. and it is only worth 13000.

Now after 2 yrs. We talked to the bank that is doing our lease, about the residual, they told us it is the dealership that sets that not them, and they have sent that to us in writing, but the dealership states it is up to the bank. We also found out we are paying the bank 93.00 a month for them to let us lease this durango. They will have a fully paid for durango when this lease is over and they want us to pay another 10000. to keep it. The bank won't even loan that amount on it by then. We are screwed, unless we want to buy another car and pay to be upside down by 10000. and get a car we really don't want. We asked all the right questions, and they flat lied to our faces.

The owner of David Stanley Dodge won't return our phone calls or letters. The dealership has quit also. They know we are upset with the mess they put us in and they don't care. The thing that I guess should have tipped us off was them trying to sell us an extended warranty, which I asked why we would need it if we were only keeping the car 3 yrs? Their reply was because it would cover the other things, the manufactures warranty wouldn't cover and it was a excellent deal. Which my husband thought we couldn't live without. Which in fact, they knew they were planning on signing us up for a 5 yr lease. So beware.
