My husband and I went to David Stanley Dodge because they had sent us a promo in the mail. We have been talking about getting a new vehicle for about 6 months. We wanted to make sure that we got a decent offer for our trade in.
We had a Chrysler Cooncorde LXI, fully loaded with leather interior. Very nice car. When we went in the salesman Justin was very nice. We had decided on a 2004 Durango.
He told us that our trade in would be around 4000 to 5000. We weren't real happy with it but we said ok. Then he brought Jeremy in who was the sales manager. He put on a sad story that they werent getting good business today that he was going to give us the deal of a lifetime. What a joke.
The Durango sticker price was 30515.00 we ended up with the purchase price of 31877.00. There was nothing added to the Durango to cause this to go up.
We also told them we did not want the warranty. They said we will throw that in. They didn't they added another 1795.00 to our cost.
The trade in that we thought we were getting 4000 to 5000 ended up to be 1600.00. They also were supposed to pay the bal off which was 347.00 they only put 200.00.
We were told that our first payment would not be for 60 days. It ended up to be 30 days. We also have to put 2500 cash down in 30 days on top of our trade in.
There was supposedly a 1500 manufacturer rebate we knew nothing about. But on their commercials they say we will take off 9000. Sounds like bait and switch to me.
The first time my husband signed the papers he was financing 26782.00 when they called him back to resign he is now financing 28577.00. What is the problem with that?
I went in on Monday after the Saturday that we purchased this Durango to tell them we were unhappy and we wanted our car back. They said have your husband come back and we will definately make us happy. That is a crock of ****.
They have yet to do anything and refuse. As far as I am concerned they rape people out of their wallets. Something needs to be done about this. We should have only had to finance at the most 21000.00 with NO down payment especially with a trade in and rebate.
The Customer Relations manager Bill Taber is the biggest liar also. He refuses to do anything. David Stanley Dodge is a joke and they are rip-off artists.
They are sorry excuses for human beings!!

You drove the durango correct? You agreed to purchase durango? You went to finance office? The finance guy presented the numbers that are printed on EVERY contract correct? YOU saw the numbers correct? <You wouldnt sign something without lookin would you?
YOU then signed the contract purchasing the durango? Do you see how many times you had the ability to review number and not purchase? The consumer has plenty of time to leave yet you stayed for a couple hours and signed the papers to purchase.
It is not the dealers fault you made a choice and then later on you didnt like the chice you made they are in business to make money just like whatever company you work for. Whats the trouble?
