Bought a 2012 Dodge ram 1500 Laramie New I have the Window sticker it was advertised as having leather seats and all the equipment for the dvd player, I contacted the last year for the headsets and remote for the dvd player and told them they did not give the equipment that should have came with it they told me sorry your just out of luck, you will now have to purchase that yourself.

Now my seats are cracking I take exceptional care of my truck and only use leather cleaner on them, why cause I thought I had leather seats that is what i was told and also what was listed, took it to them they said oh you spilled something on them thats not covered, excuse me no one drinks in my truck and leather doesnt crack and fall apart like that.

I contacted Chrysler and talked to a specialist they sset it up for me to take it to a local place they inturn took it to a trim shop to get it repaired. The trim shop looked it over said it cant be fixed because it is not leather it is vinyl there is no leather in that truck it is all vinyl ok so I think I paid too much for this truck to have such shabby material in it. can you help me out here,

What I know

I was working in the service department of another Dodge dealer in 2011

Your Laramie is suposed to come with Leather uppers (Under your Bottom and at your back) and Vinyl Trim panels. (Everything you dont sit on).

It is common for dealers to swap seats, mirrors and other trim to dress up a cheap truck and still get top dollar from you. This may have happened to you.

In my opinion the Dealer you dealt with is 100% of your problem. A reputable dealer reveals descrepencies like this and has you sign off on it. Usualy for a discount. If it is burried in the contract or not disclosed you should be able to chase the dealer for this in court.

The missing accessories will be a time sensitive thing, if the dealer and Dodge are not notified within a few days they will have an excuse not to provide them. A sales department with a shortage will steal from Peter to Pay Paul until they get someone like you that does not try to use the accessories until its to late. Again in my opinion 100% dealer issue, not Dodge.

Sorry for your Luck and please continue to spread the word about your poor treatment.
