Day's Inn They hand your personal information over to telemarketers Hershey Pennsylvania

My wife and I stayed at this motel on 11/04/2005. After getting home I saw a notation on the bottom of the invoice that says:

"Days Inn or affiliates may contact you about goods and services unless you call 877-212-2733 or write to Box 27970, Minneapolis, MN 55427-0907 to opt out. View our Days Inn website about privacy."

So, by staying at Days Inn I have agreed to allow my name, address, and telephone number to be passed to their "affliates." Nobody asked me if it was OK to do that and it was only an accident that I found out what they plan to do with my information. Days Inn placed the burden on me to discover what they intended to do and then placed another burden on me to opt out if it is not OK. It is not OK with me and I have opted out. You can be sure that I will never stay at another Days Inn.

According to their website, Days Inn affilates are: "Cendant Hotel Group, Inc., a subsidiary of Cendant Corporation, consisting of Days Inns Worldwide, Inc., Howard Johnson International, Inc., Ramada Worldwide, Inc., Super 8 Motels, Inc., Travelodge Hotels, Inc., Wingate Inns International, Inc., AmeriHost Franchise Systems, Inc., and Knights Franchise Systems, Inc. (collectively, the Franchisors) and the Cendant family of hotel franchise systems, (Days Inn, Howard Johnson, Ramada, Travelodge, Wingate Inn, AmeriHost, and Knights Inn brands."
