This is a scam, I ordered this product for the free trial. My intentions were to use it and cancel it because they auto-renew the card. Today, I call to cancel and I am told I will be billed for anything that is sent out. Hopefully, that is nothing. Furthermore, they are going to charge me $79.85 if the product is not back within the fourteen day trial period. How can I use the product within the fourteen day trial and sent it back to the company. Also, they charge your card 79.85 then refund the card if the product is recieved within 4-5 days. Why take the money just to refund it back?Unless you have $80 on hold and think it's worth this is just a big scam.
FORGET THE MOM STORY, I THINK THIS IS AN AD FOR THE TWO COMPANIES. SAVE THE MONEY FOR SOMETHING STORE-BROUGHT!

Dental Pro

Yesterday I had the misfortune to click on my ebay website and have this teacher story advise me on how I could get the best deal on teeth whiting.
I subsequently processed on line: 1. A 'Dental Pro - Smile White - pro trial & 2. The same with 'Whieening Fast Direct. com. However, when I got a message saying that there was an issue with my account I became suspicous and investigated further.
As the phone numbers [given on the website] don't work I sent cancelation emails to both parties. However I'm not sure if that's enough.
This is really wrong. Why are ebay allowed to offer support to companies that literally want to rip-off and steal?
I've spent some time today trying 5 US phone numbers without any luck.
I would really appreciate it if someone has any advice to offer on this matter as I'm still on day 2 of 8 days where I'm supposed to be able to cancle my order.
Thanks and good luck.
John.

Free Trial, RIPOFF?

Yeah, the company probably is a ripoff, scam, etc., BUT for the above person to catoragize ALL companies who offer free trials you are including A LOT of LEGITIMATE companies.
just one off the top of the head, Netflix. last time i checked they were pretty legit, and free trial is pretty much standard to start with them. just saying give some better reasons, which i'm sure u could find, that show that this company is a ripoff. again i hardly endorse this smile whatever business. i just have some problems w/some of your reasoning of the label for a scam business.

Come on

I don't like to insult people's intelligence, but come on! Why on earth would you believe this to be legit. #1) The ad you clicked on to go to the website selling this BS was a paid link. ANYTIME it is a link that the company paid for, they are trying to sell you something. #2) Yes, the website (consumer tips or something) is the same company as BOTH the "dental" companies. It's really just one company.
Ways to avoid this in the future:
Anytime you click on an advertisement where the advertiser has paid to be there it is either a scam OR they are trying to sell you something. There are no other reasons for someone to pay to be there. Unless it is a very large, well known company, I automatically consider it a scam. Not once have I been wrong.
Another not so brilliant tactic that is used:
A company buys a website called something like "Consumers Opionion/Tips/Help/Reviews/___fill in the blank". The site appears to be a free consumer review site not trying to sell you anything. Then they say they have reviewed 100's of work at home scams and only ONE was legitimate. Then they go on and on about how great it was. In the end, the ONE company that was not a "scam" was their company.
One last thing. Unless it is a well know, large company (we are talking the top 5's like walmart, home depot, target) anytime you are paying for a trial that will automatically bill you when the trial is over for $50+, it is a scam. Everytime. Not maybe. Not if. EVERYTIME. 1) They are hoping you don't notice the amount you will be charged 2) They are hoping you forget to cancel 3) When the above fails, they change their phone number or drag it on as long as possible so you can't file a dispute with the credit card company.
