i found a link on CNBC.com for a "Mom's Teeth Whitening Story". since it was on CNBC.com, my dumb a*s trusted the link, with caution. this is what happened:

i signed up for the "free trial" of both Dazzlewhite and Dentech. I made sure to read the terms and conditions for both, and i was aware that i was being signed up for the Comprehensive Weight Loss eBook, Insiders Secret, and Axis Wellness Program.

i marked it on my calendar to cancel all 5 memberships on the 13th day of my "free trial". i called all 5 numbers and canceled my memberships. what i did not know, is that you have to RETURN the products in order to prevent charges.

i was told by "brittany", the CS rep for dazzlewhite, that i had to mail back the product by the end of my "14 day free trial", and i have to mark on the envelope the order # which she gave me. once the product is back in the mail, i have to call them BACK and give Dazzlewhite a tracking # so that they can ensure my product was shipped. THEN, Dazzlewhite has to not only receive the product by the end of the "14 day free trial", but they must also PROCESS my return, by the end of the "free trial". the amount of time to process depends on them, and if my product is not received AND processed by the end of the trial, i am charged the $58.76 for the 1st months order. in this scenario, i wouldnt even have the d**n product to use, but i can assure you i would pay for it.

when i canceled my Dentech membership, "John" said my membership was canceled and i would not be charged any further. he never said i had to return the product. after checking the RipOffReport, i see so many other consumers who say that you do have to send back the Dentech, or you will be charged. i am going to call dentech this afternoon and ask them about the return policy.

what bugs me the most, is i read all of the fine print, all of the terms and conditions, and no where did it say that you have to return the product. i even went as far as saving both Dazzlewhite's and Dentech's web pages on my computer, which clearly show that there is no return policy to prevent further charges.

i guess i can only be mad at myself. i went into this, having the feeling that it was a scam, and i thought i did everything right to prevent myself from these RIDICULOUS charges, but now, i am fearful. i have received email confirmations from all 5 companies, indicating my memberships have been canceled. i think what i am going to do is go to my bank tomorrow, the 14th day of my "free trial", and close my bank account and cancel my debit card to prevent charges. i have paid the S&H fee's, and per their website, that is all i am obligated to do, since i have canceled my memberships.

someone else filed a report here, saying that Dazzlewhite and Dentech will report you to the credit bureau's if they do not receive their money. well, i will cancel my debit card tomorrow, and if they try to report me to the credit bureau's, i have all the documentation to refute. they can kiss my a**.
