Sent the camera to what I thought was Kodak on there advertisement sent to me for trade-in on the purchase of a new camera at a discounted price. (found out later I could have bought the same camera at K-mart for less). Camera was packaged at a UPS Store and shipped in perfect operating condition. Received a E-mail later from Dealtree later in the month stating the camera was broken , would not power up, would not focus (funny if it wouldn't power up how could they tell it wouldn't focus? Stated that it's worth was $0.00, no mention of returning camera was offered or stated. Ive sent out another E-mail to them again this morning, previous e-mails have gone unanswered. Kodak should be aware of this company , but I guess they just don't care. I've had dealings with this same company in the past that took 6months to resolve, and many threatening e-mails for refunds on rebates. Do not have anything to do with this company !!!!!

DealTree lived up to thier promise

AUTHOR: Andyc163 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, April 14, 2008

In fairness to Dealtree, they gave me exactly what they quoted me before I sent in my camera.
I did exactly what they told me (pack the item well, remove lens etc),and I got my Best Buy card as promised.

I feel it doesnt take a lot of common sense to know power cables should be removed and packed seperatly as this would cause a weak spot that could be damaged.
Also, there is antistatic wrapping available,it's coloured pink I think.
The idea of trading in is good because it helps with the purchase pf new equipment.

Dealtree is a warehouse

AUTHOR: Adel - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, May 26, 2007

your photos that you have on the place is a warehouse with a bunch of wannabe techs. all they do is a bunch of basic testing for example plug it up take a few pics such as you stated that you have found and thats about it. I used to work there and boy oh boy that place is a joke. also when they tested your cam they probebly put in a dead battery and instead of waiting an hour or 2 to charge it up and see if the cam will work. they are to lazy

Camera Returned having paid $20.00 shipping

AUTHOR: James - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, January 19, 2007

Well UPS delivered the supposed junk camera this AM.

I immediately opened the package and proceeded to check the camera and it's accessories to be sure everything was returned.

Next I turned the camera switch on. No suprise it powered right up as it always did. next I told it to review photo's, well to my suprise there were 4 (four) pictures on what I sent was a empty memory SD card.. The technician? must have taken them when playing with the not working camera... I now have proof the Technician? in question was lying when the company told me in an e-mail it wouldn't power up and wouldn't focus. I now have a perfectly focused picture of the techs workbench and also a good photo of the inside of the storage area of what looks like a warehouse with many small boxes piled on the floor. The evidence speaks for itself this company is decieving their customers with outright lies and falsehoods. I just wish there was someway's to burn them good for it.
