I had a revision rhinoplasty by Toriumi and it was a real disaster. I was stupid and spent over 50 thousand dollars between his fees, surgery center and follow up visits. My nose got only worse with time. There are many filthy and suspicious things going on at his practice. He built a stellar reputation and thinks he's untouchable and can get away with anything. First of all, he uses his patients as guinea pigs and experiments on us without our consent. He uses experimental techniques and then demands patients to go every 3 weeks for follow up visits. What is worse is that he leaves patients with irreversible deformities. If you have a nasal problem, he doesn't fix it. He will just stitch grafts on the top of it in order to hide it, but it makes things only worse. He leaves noses wide, excessively grafted, dented and all crooked. And he can't do a septoplasty. Every single patient who went to Toriumi has a nose that deviates to the left. It's not a coincidence. He also bills insurance companies exorbitant money. No matter what your nose concerns are, he will use rib on you and has only one surgical plan which he applies to everybody. regardless of their problems. This one fits all approach allows him to perform dozens of surgeries every week. He favors quantity at the expense of quality. Just because a surgeon does 30 rhinos a week, it doesn't mean that he does them well.
