I really don't know who is worse between Richard Ellenbogen and Dean Toriumi from Chicago. Dean Toriumi is a very sloppy individual who is motivated by greed. He just cares about money and does as many nose jobs in a day as possible. He favors quantity at the expense of quality.

He devised a surgical plan that allows him to do as many rhinos as possible. He basically does the SAME thing on EVERYBODY, regardless of their problems. This way, he doesn't have to worry about customizing the surgical approach in relation to the patient's needs. There are several patients who exhibit the same, permanent deformities.

Since he got a stellar reputation, he now feels he's untouchable and can get away with anything. He charges about 30 k for a rhinoplasty. He uses rib cartilage on everybody. Even in primary rhinoplasties where reduction is necessary and does unnecessary and risky things that compromise, for ever, the structure of the nose.

His main faults include but are not limited to:

1) he overcharges insurance companies and uses rib on everybody to justify his ridiculous fees;

2) he lets his residents train on patients although patients pay HIM and not the residents;

3) all of his noses are crooked and point towards the same direction (left);

4) his photos are very deceiving because taken in such a fashion as to disguise all the deformities he causes;

5) he charges european patients more money since he knows that the euro is stronger and european patients can buy more dollars with the euro;

6) he experiments on patients who pay outrageous amounts of money to present results of his experiments in percentages in his publications and conference presentations.
