This company lacks major components in their treatment program which renders the outcome a total failure. This place is literally  " Relapse City USA " . The most dangerous part about this major failure of a program is that the majority of the drop outs, kick outs or even graduates go on to relapse and stay in a small city which is now put in jeopardy with a great number of out of town relapsers roaming the streets. At some point they were all living in the same apartment building. We sent our kid to this place and during the time she was there, ALL of the graduates relapsed back into drugs and alcohol. One of them died of a drug overdose. There have been countless near deaths since the begining of 2009 when our kid went there.

In taking a closer look at the issues, a friend of mine who has been in the field of treatment for 30 years concluded that the problem with this program is that nobody really knows what they stand for. There is no concrete structure based on theories already proven to work and their so called " Pia Melody " approach is useless at the beginning stages of their recovery. Their stand on 12 steps participation( already proven to work ) is at best, indifferent so the clients have no real solid support to fall back on when they complete. In other words, Decision point center's biggest problem is that they are trying to reinvent the wheel. To make matters worse, most of the staff hold a very antagonistic attitude towards 12 steps recovery. If they had come up with a better replacement I could understand their position but they have not. And that to me is seriously unethical.  Do NOt send your family member to this major failure of a program or next thing you know, he/she could be coming back in a pine box.
